Tech Support is a PICNIC

I chuckled and thought of all my dear tech support friends in call centers around the world this past weekend. I was perusing a Reader’s Digest and read about and IT department that had begun talking about certain trouble tickets as a P.I.C.N.I.C.:

    That’s like my favorite, the PEBKAC error.
    Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair.

    Slightly more degrading is the really problematic ID – 10 – T error. Of course that’s ID10T.
    My personal fav 🙂

    I hadn’t heard the PICNIC one, either. I’ve used the ID10T error, though. 🙂

    I’d heard it as Fatal Error Between Keyboard & Chair. I like to know these terms since I’m usually the fatal error.-)
