What’s Your Story?

I read Alain Thys’ post over at Marketing Profs regarding the "10 Truths of Branded Storytelling". Then, in a moment of synchronicity, I find Cuileann’s McKenzie’s post. It got me thinking about the power of a good story, not just in branding but in training and in life. I’ve been doing training and lecturing about Customer Service, Quality Assessment and Life for many years. It never ceases to amaze me that people will walk up to me years after my presentation and tell me they remember this story or that story. They may not remember all five points of my lecture, but they remember the story and how it related to their own life.

Are you telling a story in your coaching?
Are you telling a story in your training?
Are you telling a story in your advertising?
Are you telling a story in your branding?

What’s your story?

It Only Takes One Experience to Make a Customer for Life

    Hi Tom!
What a treat it was to HEAR your gas station story! Offering an MP3 of you speaking was a terrific idea! The story really came alive with your voice!
    You’re a terrific storyteller!

Thanks, Cuileann. I received an extra blessing today when I was training a group of CSRs for a local client. A woman told me that she had been reading my blog faithfully and used the “gas station” story in a classroom presentation. How cool is that?!
