Do you ever read a post that hits the target and gets you jazzed? It happened to me this morning with Victoria Leo’s post in which she writes about taking school kids to the opera. You should read the post for yourself, but the cliff notes version is simply this – if you want school kids to love opera, take them to the opera that they’ll enjoy (sword fights, shipwrecks, action, etc.).
Thanks to Victoria for a wonderful, simple reminder. Don’t sit up in an ivory tower choosing what the customers need and stuffing it down their throat. Find out what customers want and then deliver.
